Nissan's ad for a restored 1996 Maxima is thoroughly brilliant
LAST YEAR, FILMMAKER Luke Aker made a video to sell his auld Nissan Maxima called Luxury Defined. The absurdly well-made video soon went viral and garnered over 2 million views on YouTube.
Nissan stepped up to the plate and bought the old jalopy for $1,400, and promised to restore the car to its former glory.
Now they have unveiled a brilliant follow-up ad in which they showcase the newly refurbished 1996 Maxima. (They even installed a brand new tape deck, how glam.)
The beloved vehicle is currently on display at Nissan’s North American headquarters.
Viral marketing at its best, non?
